Two Harrison Senior Living Communities Awarded!
Harrison Senior Living is very excited to share that two of our communities, Harrison House of Snow Hill and John B. Parsons Assisted Living, located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, were recently awarded with the 2020 Bronze Commitment to Quality Award. They are the first of Harrison Senior Living’s communities to earn the distinction.
The Bronze award is presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as part of its National Quality Award Program, the Bronze award is modeled on the core values and criteria of the Baldridge Performance Excellence program. Once awarded with Bronze, communities can continue to progressive levels of Silver and Gold. Trained examiners review each member application to determine if the center has met the criteria. The Bronze National Quality Award recognizes long-term and post-acute communities’ commitment to striving for quality improvement through a systematic approach.
Harrison House of Snow Hill was recognized earlier this year for outstanding quality care by the AHCA/NCAL in the National Quality Initiative program. The National Quality Initiative program is a multi-year effort to challenge long-term care providers to achieve quantitative results in four areas by March of 2021. Similarly, John B. Parsons received zero deficiencies in their annual state survey which means the community is operating in total compliance with state regulations regarding the care to residents, services provided and overall environment. Another testament to the outstanding care provided.
With only twenty-four communities earning the Bronze Commitment to Quality award in the state of Maryland this year, Harrison Senior Living is proud of the teams at both communities for achieving this accomplishment!
