We Are Seeing Stars at Harrison House of Snow Hill!
Harrison House of Snow Hill, a Harrison Senior Living community, has earned an overall Five Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). A distinguishing honor not easily attained, the Five Star rating for Harrison House comes just weeks after the community was celebrated for their accomplishments in Quality Improvement by the American Healthcare Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).
The Five Star Quality Rating System is a tool for those in need of skilled services to easily compare nursing communities. Every community is given a “star rating” between one and five, with five being the highest rating. A five-star rating is labeled “Much Above Average,” meaning the skilled nursing community is performing much above average overall compared to other communities. The rating system takes into consideration three main areas: health inspections including annual surveys, quality measures which offer insight on how well the community is caring for resident’s physical and clinical needs and staffing which looks at the average amount of time care is provided to residents.
Harrison House of Snow Hill has had superb health inspections over the last several years and has been working to improve quality measures which is also evident with their recent Quality Initiative recognition. The staffing measure at Harrison House received a five out of five-star rating which speaks volumes to the quality of care provided on a regular basis to residents.
“It has been our pleasure to serve the Eastern Shore for more than 40 years. I am proud of the Snow Hill team for this accomplishment and their continued efforts towards quality care” shared Sharon Raynor, Executive Director at Harrison House of Snow Hill. Sharon has been part of the Harrison Senior Living team for more than fifteen years and has been leading the team at Snow Hill as the Executive Director since 2012!
