An Evening Celebrating 50th Anniversary & Art!
Harrison House of Chester County concluded the 50th Anniversary celebrations for Harrison Senior Living with an Anniversary Event and Art Show! It was a beautiful evening honoring both the history of the organization and the antiquity of the local community of Coatesville.
The Harrison House team spent their time wisely during the pandemic shut down and completely renovated their ground floor including the main dining room. Those renovations required new artwork and something simple just wouldn’t do. Thus began the project of commissioning local artist, Dylan Pritchard, to take historical images, of the City of Coatesville and the Steel Mill, which sits adjacent to Harrison House’s campus and breathe new life into them. The images were obtained through the help of the Chester County History Center and National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum.
The celebration included locally inspired h’orderves and a signature cocktail, the “Strode Avenue Spritzer!” Residents, friends, and professional partners of Harrison Senior Living had the opportunity to soak in the art and reminisce – not only of the last 50 years of the organization but the community as a whole.
