Harrison Senior Living’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,

I would like to reiterate Harrison Senior Living’s strong position, disallowing visitors in our buildings who are not required to be present by medical necessity.  This decision was made proactively, some time ahead of industry partners and government agencies but was confirmed as necessary directly by the President in the Oval Office last night.  We also continue to follow the recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and directives from our local departments of health as we work diligently to protect our most vulnerable populations from a global threat.  The World Health Organization has indeed classified the Coronavirus as a pandemic.  We currently have healthy communities and we aim to keep them that way.  It is a difficult situation for everyone involved, especially for our residents who need to remain connected to loved ones and to their communities.  This is why we ordered tablets/iPads as an alternative means of maintaining communication with you on the outside.  Please take advantage of this program as we know from experience that ongoing social interaction benefits our residents’ health.  As we move forward, please know that our teams are meeting daily, often several times each day, to discuss the latest developments with the Coronavirus pandemic.  We are managing residents’ health, access to supplies and are very committed to ensuring an excellent quality of life.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call our communities directly.  We will also work to post updates as frequently as there is anything to report so please follow our social media channels.  Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you back into our communities once this situation has resolved.

Sincerely,

Harrison G. Saunders, CEO
