Health and wellness services

Harrison House of Georgetown holds you or your family member’s health, care and rehabilitation above all else.

As a resident, you can rely on the best medical care without having to leave the grounds. Our staff is led by a Physician Medical Director and tenured licensed nurses dedicated to helping improve and maintain the health and wellness of our residents.

In addition to on-site medical services, we also can aid those seeking skilled nursing care for respite and short-term accommodations needs and rehabilitation services for physical, speech and occupational therapy.

Continued rehabilitation services

Once you or your family member reach the highest level of independence, you can return home with the security of knowing you can continue rehabilitation care at our location on an outpatient basis. Continuing your rehabilitation on an outpatient basis will allow you to work with the same therapists and maintain consistency in your rehabilitation program.

Rehabilitation Fitness Center

While staying in shape is always important, when recovering from an injury it is especially important to ensure our residents are participating in the correct physical activities. Our rehabilitation specialists will work closely with the treating physician to create a program designed specifically to get you or your senior family member to optimum independence.

The rehabilitation fitness center has the latest in state-of-the-art equipment.

Activities of Daily Living (ADL) suite

Rehabilitating from a fall, stroke or other physical setback often means relearning how to perform the activities of daily life, such as buttoning your shirt, preparing a meal, getting in and out of the bathtub or shower and more.

Our ADL suite is designed to replicate the living spaces of a typical home, including a bathroom, bedroom and kitchen.  Here skills can be relearned in a safe and secure real-life atmosphere. Our trained physical therapists will work closely with you or your senior family member to regain the confidence and independence to perform these tasks.

Secured memory support unit

Harrison House of Georgetown provides residents with a memory disorder a secure living environment that supports independence. We provide our memory care residents with an environment filled with warmth and support to help maintain a happy and safe lifestyle.

Even better, our memory care residents’ family members can rest easy knowing their family member is well cared for by a team of professionals specially trained to care for seniors with memory conditions.

Hospice care

We help to improve the quality of life for those seeking hospice care. You or your family member will receive compassionate care and be treated with the utmost dignity when entering the last stages of an incurable disease. Our main concern will be on providing supportive and palliative care, which will focus on caring for your symptoms.

Subacute Care Services

We offer subacute care services for patients discharging from a hospital setting or those looking to bounce back quickly from a surgery. Here you can receive the attention you require–physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy–to promote your full independence and potential.

Secured gardens and grounds

As a senior resident at our Georgetown campus, you or your senior family member can refresh the mind and stimulate the senses in our well-manicured and maintained grounds, including raised flower beds and quiet shady areas to sit and relax. Designed to be enjoyed year-round, residents can walk along the safe paths and take in the vibrant colors and scents of the seasons or enjoy a chat with other residents.

If you or your family member has a green thumb, the garden offers a courtyard vegetable garden to plant and raise your seasonal favorites. Even better, gardening provides great exercise and helps with relaxation while stimulating the mind.

For our memory care residents, we have a secure area of the garden to safely enjoy the outdoors and relax without worries. This area is open to all residents.

Transportation services

We provide free transportation to and from your doctor’s appointments. Our safe, professional drivers enjoy getting to know our residents and take extra care to ensure their comfort while in transit.
