From live entertainment to spa treatments to our much-celebrated Friday afternoon happy hour, you are sure to find an activity to keep you engaged and entertained.

Arts and Entertainment Department

Our experienced Activity Staff is here to ensure senior living and assisted living residents are offered a variety of quality events on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in which to partake. They collaborate with senior residents to hear what the community is interested in doing, seeing and learning.

Some of our regularly scheduled activities and events for senior living and assisted living residents include:

• Exercise classes to stay in shape and promote muscular health
• Coffee socials to chat, socialize with your friends and get to know your new neighbors
• Game gatherings featuring trivia, card games, puzzles and the ever-popular bingo.
• Friday Happy Hour to mix and mingle with your neighbors and enjoy handcrafted hors-d’oeuvres, wine and punch

Special outings and events include:

• Lunch and shopping trips to favorite and requested restaurants and stores
• Crafting classes and sessions
• First-run films at the local theater
• Spa treatments for relaxation and pampering
• Cooking lessons and demonstrations
• Wii bowling and games

Seniors on the Go! Group

In addition to our regularly scheduled activities and events, this group plans exciting excursions further off campus so that residents can experience cultural the many offerings of the region. Some of the many outings have included:

• Museum tours to take in the latest exhibits
• Live theater featuring Broadway touring groups and local theater
• Dining at some of the premier restaurants in the area
• Educational lecture series
• Picnics at local parks to enjoy fresh air and scenery

Men’s Group

At times, it can be challenging for senior men to make connections when entering a new living environment. That’s why we have a special group focused on activities for men—so they can meet, bond and forge new friendships while having fun. Some of the activities the Men’s Group has hosted include:

• The Harrison Senior Living Grand Prix—a race with matchbox cars down a custom track
• Baseball games
• Tours of Cabela’s sporting goods store
• Day trips to local museums, such as the toy train museum

No matter what you enjoy doing, Harrison Senior Living is sure to have an activity for you to join and have fun. Plus, there is no obligation to partake in every offering. Join in as much or as little as you like.
