Nutrition and special diets

At any age, it is important to ensure you are eating healthy, nutritious and delicious meals. As you age, your nutrition and diet may require extra attention. As a senior living or assisted living resident you shouldn’t have to spend all your time preparing and worry over preparing meals–unless it is for pleasure.

When you are a resident at our Coatesville location you never have to worry about having a nutritious well-planned meal. All of the meals at Harrison House of Chester County are planned by certified dieticians and top chefs to meet our residents’ tastes and optimize nutritional requirements. Our senior residents delight in the fresh and tasty ingredients used to create seasonal dishes as well as all of your regional favorites.

If you require a diet suggested or prescribed by your physician, we will work with him or her to ensure meals are prepared to meet your special diet.

Always Available menu

Even with all the tasty creations our dieticians and chefs plan, sometimes you crave the satisfaction of a tried and true favorite. Our Always Available menu offers you:

• Fresh Cobb Salad made with crispy lettuce, ripe tomato, cucumber, delicious bacon pieces, hard-boiled egg and onion
• Bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich on a toast
• Grilled cheese sandwich, add your choice of turkey or ham
• Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
• Hamburger with lettuce and tomato on a fresh bun
• Cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato on a fresh bun
• Grilled hotdog on a fresh bun with your choice of condiments

Family events and celebrations

There is no reason to stop hosting special occasions and family get-togethers. We have multiple beautifully decorated rooms for private parties and dining rooms where our senior living and assisted living residents can host their guests. All you have to do is contact the concierge and we’ll take care of the rest.
